a&o Budapest City

It’s an A&O so expect it to be like one. Overall, it’s not bad. I didn’t use the kitchen. Had an issue with my room as my bed was taken by someone else so the staff said to just take another bed. Vibes were a bit off, but it’s a huge hostel and so many people stay there. The staff were a little rude as well when I checked in and asked about extending and the bathroom in the room smelt a bit and was a bit dirty. I also found half a biscuit down the back of my bed too. But again, it’s an A&O.

Overall very good hostel, the beds were nice, shower and toilet were seperate rooms in the dorm, big lounge area near the entrance to chill and eat, good kitchen and grocery store nearby and staff were great.

Overall the hostel was very clean. However, I was unable to lock my things in the provided storage because it was too big for the standard lock I brought with me and when I inquired at the front desk they did not offer or even sell suitable locks. I ended up leaving my things with my friends who had a private room. Because of this, there was little or no indication that my bed was occupied - so two out of my four night stay I came back at night to find someone in my bed and had to change.
