Sax Pub Hostel

Skip it! There was no staff- nobody to talk to if you need anything, no common area besides the kitchen- which was a disaster and nobody socialized there, we got put in the wrong room and there was garbage on my bed and the heat came on all day without a way to turn it off. They leave a number to text but they don’t reply. Location was good but we only lasted one night.

This was definitely an interesting hostel, but it wasn't horrible. The staff are the people who work at the pub below, so the check-in process isn't the best. Good location right near the river, and it is easy to walk everywhere in the city. Even with the bedroom door not closing, it still felt safe somehow. The toilets were almost always out of toilet paper and paper towels. The kitchen wasn't the cleanest, but I had everything I needed to make food.

WhenI arrived at Sax Hostel, the sheets had't been changed. I discovered the kitchen on 2nd day since the the receptionist did not sshow me the factilities. Bathroom a bit rustic, washing machine inside. but nice pub downstairs
