Casa Montoco

This is the perfect 10/10 hostel if you are arriving / leaving to Managua airport. It is a 10 minute walk. We arrived late and Violeta was very warm and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and huge en suite. It was cosy and comfortable- exactly needed after or before a long journey. Thank you. Also recommend the family restaurant next door :)

I was brought to another place. There are no photos on the website of that place. The rooms and bathrooms are very basic, with no windows. The atmosphere of the house and surrounding are depressing. A lot of nuisance from pigeons. Despite the description, no kitchen is available. Internet was installed the second day. The outside door is very difficult to open with the given keys. Conclusion the property is not in line with the advertisement. Definitely no value for money.

This is not a hostel it’s an old lady’s house! I stayed before my flight in the morning. Nice bed and showers and the owner was sweet (no English). I did end up sharing a tiny two person room with a guy which was fine but slightly awkward. There’s a fan but the room was SWELTERING I didn’t get a wink of sleep as I thought I might die of overheating!!! Horrible walk to airport but only took 10 minutes so doable, worth staying for a night if you have a flight
