Ostello la Mine, ex Dormitorio Dei Minatori, is nestled in the fascinating setting of the Gran Paradiso Nature Park. The recently refurbished structure is ideal for comfortably accommodating anyone who wants to come and discover the history of Europe's highest magnetite mines, which can still be visited, and the Gran Paradiso National Park, Italy's oldest National Park.

The social cooperative La Libellula took over management of the hostel in 2022, further enriching it with its social project to give young people with diverse forms of disability in the Valle d'Aosta region an opportunity for personal and professional growth through training and work paths. The young people are supported by professionals in the hospitality sector to acquire the skills they need to live independently and, when possible, to hold job positions.

The hostel offers 60 comfortable beds, divided into rooms and dormitories with shared toilets cleaned daily and with privacy, ideal to accommodate large groups, but also single travellers and families! The large dining hall is open for breakfast every morning, with hot and cold products, and the adjoining restaurant-pizzeria offers the possibility of lunch and dinner within walking distance of the hostel.

At an economic price per person, inclusive of bed and outdoor parking, with the possibility of adding towels and breakfast, you will be able to immerse yourself in history, nature and, last but not least, get to know a reality that aims to help fragile youngsters, but is willing to welcome you to make you feel at ease during your stay.
