Hostal de Altura is a rustic establishment made of stone, adobe and very warm wood, away from the downtown area, 900 meters away from the main square (1500 meters from the terminal) and located at the foot of the black hill with impressive views.
The hostel has three different areas, in the upper part is the breakfast room with large windows and a fireplace, as well as the terrace with a panoramic view of the town of Tilcara, in the lower part are the rooms with independent entrance to the street; they do not have panoramic views. The hostel is also the headquarters of hiking and mountain guides, so you can obtain abundant information and beneficial discounts on active tourism activities.
Please note about accommodation:
- Hostal de Altura is located 900 meters from the center of Tilcara. The way to get there is uphill and can be done on foot (high level difficulty) or by vehicle. Thanks to this distance, we have one of the best views of the town.
- The hostel does not have its own parking lot; The options are 50 meters away for free on the street and 70 meters away in a private parking lot paying a daily fee.
- The rooms have private bathroom, but they are simple. Without excessive luxuries (for example, they do not have a TV). We focus on personalized treatment and achieving peaceful nights of rest, so that guests can have energy to discover the wonders of the Quebrada de Humahuaca.
- Although we are happy to welcome everyone, the hostel stands out for its youthful audience. This means that many times they can stay late in common places or on the terrace.
Hostal de Altura Policy and Conditions:
Cancellation Policy: 1 day before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
