Casa Gantu is a nice little hostal, basic, but clean and with a food vibe, beautifully located in a traditional house at the Plaza de Armas of Chavín de Huantar. At other side of the plaza, there is a nice vegetarian restaurant that also serves breakfast. Since the village is small, both the museum and the archeological site are close by. Totally recommendable.

Easy check-in, comfortable bed and great hot water. Our room looked out over the square which was nice, and it was comfortable for one night. The wifi didn’t really reach our bedroom though.
