You've stayed in dorms before. You know the drill.. Artos is different.
— THE POD —
Every bed at Artos is a private pod with a curtain. Pull it shut and the shared room disappears. What's left is yours: a proper mattress, your own shelf and power outlet, a reading light. No one touching your stuff. No one in your face. Just sleep.
— THE HOSTEL —
Step out of your pod and Artos opens up: a pool to cut through the Yucatán heat, a fully equipped kitchen to cook whatever you want, social areas where solo travelers stop being solo. It's the hostel for people who want their own space — and great company when they choose it.
— THE NEIGHBOURHOOD —
We're in La Mejorada, one of Mérida's most authentic historic barrios. The 17th-century Ex-Convent is around the corner. The Mejorada Park is two minutes on foot. You're in the heart of the historic centre without the tourist noise — Mérida as it actually is: local markets, cobblestone streets, neighbours who've lived here for generations.
The Plaza Grande is a 10-minute walk. The ADO bus terminal is 12 minutes. Everything else — cenotes, Chichén Itzá, Progreso beach — is a day trip away.
— WHO STAYS AT ARTOS —
→ Digital nomads who need quiet, fast WiFi and a pool between calls
→ Solo travelers who want privacy without paying hotel prices
→ Backpackers who are done with noisy dorms but not done with hostel culture
→ Couples who travel smart and won't compromise on comfort
Artos isn't for everyone. It's for travelers who know exactly what they want — and have stopped settling for less.
