Family run hostel is located right in the old town of the charming white village of Competa, in the heart of the Axarquia and at the foot of the Almijara National Park. We are just seconds from the main square of the village. If it is a great location you're after.
La Tienda Nueva offers the perfect base to explore. With breathtaking walks direct from the door, from the novice to expert you can be on top of a mountain a thousand meters above sea level in the morning and sit on the beautiful sands of one of our many blue flag beaches in the afternoon.
With an exciting history, unique cultural heritage and dreamlike landscapes, from the fisherman villages of the Eastern Costa del Sol to the white-washed villages in the mountains, this land is an interesting compendium of tradition, legends, art and nature.
Competa and the coastline of La Axarquia have something for everyone.
