i found the private room quite pleasant. hot water in the shower and relatively clean. staff wasn't always on top of it with opening the door tho but they were there 24/7 and i did feel quite safe. thin walls and smoke does flow into your room.

Wouldn’t recommend staying at this hostel. Booked a private room for 7 nights and as soon as we walked in we could smell something damp/mouldy coming from the bathroom. No ventilation at all, no air con or fan, no windows apart from one going into the communal hallway and walls are extremely thin. You can hear everything at all hours of the day. We left 2 nights earlier because we had enough. Apart from the location we don’t think there’s much else going for it.
