Casa del Árbol Xochimilco

This place is somewhere to sleep, but that is all it offers. The beds are in cubicles in a hallway with only a curtain. And only a few feet high. Like a coffin. There really is no common hang out area. There were no other guests (I imagine it would have been impossibly noisy had there been.) The staff were mostly invisible. There for check in but spent the rest of their time in their private room. They had little information to share, and the info I got was wrong. Zero vibes.

Really good location looks really cool and shabby chic - the owner is cool and accommodating and chilled! Only thing is that our bedroom smelt really bad of drains, think it could have just been our room, it has the steps to get up, really musty and didn’t feel clean. The shower was thick with limescale. There is a bit of a social vibe butfelt like everyone already knew each other or worked there not sure, but it’s in a great area and overall very chilled vibe if that’s what you’re looking for!

This is a fantastic place to stay in Oaxaca - friendly and helpful owner - located in a more local and quiet part of the city whilst still in walking distance of the main bits - beautifully designed layout - multiple kitchens - the tree!!!
