FREEDOM HOUSE, Munnar - A Backpackers Hostel

Came here for one night but ended up staying two—it was that good! Surrounded by greenery, mist, and forests, this place is perfect for a peaceful getaway. The host is incredibly warm and welcoming, and the homemade food was fresh and delicious. A special shoutout to Tarzan, the sweetest dog ever! The property is about 1.5 km from the main road, but the scenic walk is worth it, and the host can arrange a jeep if needed. I’d definitely stay here again!

A wonderful place to relax, unwind, and reconnect with nature. The peaceful atmosphere is perfect for resetting your mind and escaping the hustle of daily life. The staff are incredibly friendly, respectful, and always ready to help. They can also organize adventure activities and treks if you're looking to explore the beautiful surroundings. one of the best times I had as a backpacker, really loved the vibe. If you're looking for a place which is completely immersed in nature then this is the best hostel. The hosts are really nice and they make you feel like home. There are trails and waterfalls inside the property which is soo beautiful.
