Wave Hunters started with surf trips and lessons around Rio de Janeiro before finding a permanent home in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, just a few streets from Praia da Macumba.
Here, you’re not just booking a bed — you’re joining a house built around surfing, travel and good stories.
Our team surfs every day and lives the lifestyle we share with our guests. We offer surf guides who choose the best spots based on sea conditions, lessons for all levels, video analysis to help you track your progress, and more than 14 activities. Join us for hikes, yoga, surfskate, trips to Prainha and visits to hidden corners of Rio that most tourists never discover.
The house has a swimming pool, social areas, a fully equipped shared kitchen, coworking space with fast internet, a dedicated yoga and functional training area, and facilities for storing surfboards.
We’re also a surfboard rental point in partnership with Surf’s Up, our surf club partner. Breakfast is always a shared-table experience, making it easy for solo travellers to meet people and feel part of the group from day one.
Wave Hunters is ideal for solo travellers, couples, groups of friends, surfers chasing waves and remote workers who want to work close to the ocean.
