DO NOT book here. When we arrived the building was completely vacant and up for sale. I was sent a confirmation for the booking and received zero follow up information stating that the hostel had shut down. Had to scramble to find a new place to stay. Extremely unprofessional and irresponsible. Ended up staying at Camino Verde B&B which was much nicer and cost less.

Sloth backpackers is currently under construction/renovations so shouldn’t really be advertised to book. We arrived and it was closed/abandoned. However, we did go across to Koati hostel next door which was really great. Mauricio and his wife took great care of us and were very helpful. I would suggest you book there instead.

I loved this hostel so much it was so homely and cute. Yir was so helpful with booking activities and giving us recommendations. (If you consider yourself a banangrams genius you need to come and have a face off with Yir)
