Magnolia Inn Casco Viejo

By far the most beautiful hostel I’ve ever seen, you get so much for your money and it’s a gorgeous location too. Excellent showers and balconies. However, the staff were a bit odd. One cleaner tried to unlock the door and get into the bathroom while I was showering which was very alarming given that I’m a girl. He also barged into our room loudly asking to take out the trash when everyone was still asleep. Apart from that, I highly recommend this place!!

Judging the dorm room only. I believe the price is out of proportion and only justified due to its location in Casco Viejo. That said the dorm we stayed in was right above some local establishment (bar maybe.. - people in the street and loud music). You have no privacy, the beds seem unstable and the mattress is not great. I slept in many low key places and don’t have an issue with it but it’s really not justified. I would rather recommend staying somewhere else.

Great location, perfectly fine for the price you pay. The dorm is a bit depressing with the hospital style beds but clean and comfortable
