The overall cleanliness of the property was abhorrent. There was a worm in my shower the entirety of my stay, mould on the ceilings, a dodgy lock on the bathroom door, no soap, and no toilet paper for 3 days. The door was always unlocked, no cupboards and the top bunk beds don't have barriers. Staff seem to sleep in the same bunks as the travellers. My friends had a man in their dorm who had fixed a full flat screen TV on to his wall and had it blaring 24/7. The cleaner also slept on their floor

Great hostel in a fantastic location in the centre of paraty. The staff were so friendly and helpful, helping everyone to make plans for each day and creating a very welcoming atmosphere, making the stay very enjoyable. The room was spacious, clean and nicely air conditioned with a fan as well to improve ventilation even more. I did the boat tour through the hostel and had a great day, it was good value for money

Such lovely hosts here, we took a beautiful boat tour and they cooked us fish! The hostel is basic but does the job! would recommend :)
