Jongno Stay

I enjoyed my stay at JongoStay very much! The rules were simple and clear and the same for all. Very helpful and friendly staff and just a short walk from the bus stop (about 5 minutes). Within a 10 minute walk there is the metro stop Jongno3-ga, that has several transfers for further exploring. The location also makes it easy to walk to several palaces. When I'm returning to Seoul I would definitely consider staying at JongnoStay again depending on which part of Seoul I will be exploring!

Owner of the hostel was super nice and really helpful! Not much of a social atmosphere but the beds were very private and dark with the curtains and the common room has what you need. Would recommmend for sure if you’re just looking to a place to sleep :)

I 100% recommend JognoStay as a budget traveller, and a solo female traveller! Locationwise it’s perfect for a first time visit in Seoul. Right next to one of the palaces, but not on a main street. Close to Seosulla-gil and Ikseon-dong. Considering other accomodations in Seoul, I would say it’s worth it. The kitchen has all basic utensils and coffee is included. The only thing to note is that it can feel bunker-ish, the rooms downstairs don’t have any windows.
