Really enjoyed my stay here. Super comfy beds, clean, kitchen is useable (a bit small but it’s fine), hot showers (no one can see you in the showers if they look a certain way, they just have slated doors for ventilation), co working area is large and can chill in there also. All staff members are super friendly. The cafe is very popular with locals in the evening but I always managed to get a seat at the bar. Would definitely stay here if I come back to Lima.

Had an alright stay at Ancestral hostel. The staff were lovely but that’s where the positives end really. The main problem we had was that the private rooms were largely located on the roof next to the rooftop bar. Unfortunately the shared bathrooms were often used by patrons of the bar. On more than one occasion I had people knocking on the door while I was showering and one morning finding sick in the sink. The bar also stayed open later than 11, music was playing till 3am. Very expensive!

I didn’t love my stay at this hostel unfortunately. The staff were amazing and super helpful, however it felt slightly like the cafe customers were a priority over the hostel guests. There are no areas to chill / socialise really, besides the coworking area, and the cafe on the rooftop barely had any free seating. The kitchen was not the cleanest, and the staff nearly threw my labelled food in the bin, so this put me off cooking in the hostel. However, the rooms are spacious and location is good
