INCREDIBLE stay at Mixtepek. The owner’s (Ovi and Daisy) are such kind and welcoming people. Spent hours chatting with Ovi, who is down to earth and gave really helpful recommendations for our time in El Salvador. The place feels a bit more like a home stay than a traditional hostel, but in the best of ways, with your own private space. Must be said: the mattresses are very comfy, which is rare. Place can be a bit hard to find since there is no sign outside, but that’s literally only critique.

A secure place within a short walk of the town centre. Our room was not huge, but perfectly functional, like the photos show. We were welcomed warmly by our host who was very polite and helpful. There was also a nice little terrace to use.
