Welcome to The Surf Hostel Weligama
We’re just 550 meters (an easy 8-minute walk) from Weligama’s main surf beach, making it the perfect base for catching waves or simply enjoying the sun. The bus station is right by our door and the train station is also nearby, so getting here is super convenient.
We’ve partnered with Be Cool Surf Camp to offer our guests special deals on surf lessons and surf programs. Whether you’re a beginner or already experienced, you’ll find the waves waiting for you.
When you need to recharge, choose from private ensuite rooms or cozy dorms with bunk beds. We also offer laundry facilities (available for a small fee). and Kitchen You Can use For Heat the water for coffee and Tea
Please note: this is a social hostel—if you’re not looking to meet people, it might not be the right fit for you.
And the best news—our in-house Nasty’s Weligama Café opened! Expect delicious food, fresh coffee, and the perfect hangout spot right inside the hostel.

Check-in: 2:00–4:30 PM and 7:00–8:00 PM (please note: 4:30–7:00 PM is our sunset time, so kindly be patient if arriving late).
