A cozy hostel on the beautiful island of Suomenlinna, at a convenient location near the ferry port and a grocery store. Clean, spacious room and a big common space. Greatest location for a hostel ever being on the most interesting island and still seconds away from a supermarket, cafe and ferry port. Staff left a little to be desired for me personally and the atmosphere was lacking purely because of the time of year which didn't bother me at all. The facilities are very good and generous with their supplies. Lucky to have a dorm to myself but overall loved my time there.

I stayed here in February, so there weren't many people. In fact it was almost empty. The building itself is very old and basic so don't expect anything modern. It was pretty clean, and the kitchen was tiny but decent. The island itself can be explored in just one day, but it's a short boat trip to Helsinki city centre, so this hostel can be good if you want some peace and quiet.
