Backpackers Inn is a great place to stay while exploring McLeod Ganj. The hostel has an amazing view, good food served on the rooftop terrace and lovely rooms. It has a good atmosphere to meet other travellers. Especially Ganesh, the owner of the hostel, is extremely kind and helpful. He showed us a good place for swimming, where to get the best Himachal food and when I was feeling sick he offered to get me medicines. Would definitely recommend this place!

Nice view from the balcony Good food Room was not so clean (thick dust layers on shelves, used condom on the ground, dirty shower walls) One night there was a water cut in the bathroom. It seemed like it was planned but not communicated. I think the place can be really nice and the owner is friendly. It was probably just a bad timing to be there during the construction works.

Overall a good stay, big rooms,nice terrace, friendly staff. An included breakfast and more frequent housekeeping in the room ( no toilet paper or towel available in the room) would make the stay even better. It is a new place so ample time to make these improvements. Definitely a good place to stay when in mcleod ganj.
