St Christopher's Paris - Canal biedt een levendige sociale sfeer, waarbij veel gasten genieten van de bruisende bar en de mogelijkheden om medereizigers te ontmoeten. De locatie aan het kanaal is aangenaam, en het pand is over het algemeen schoon met behulpzaam personeel. Recente beoordelingen vermelden echter vaak het gebrek aan airconditioning, waardoor kamers oncomfortabel heet worden, vooral tijdens de warmere maanden. Sommige gasten merken ook op dat de locatie enigszins ver van de centrale bezienswaardigheden ligt.

The showers don't give hot water. Some of them don't even give warm water. Can be extremely uncomfortable especially on your period. Beds mattrasses could be thicker and better quality but it was doable. Bring a big lock for your drawer/locker. Area like people say in the comments, little sketchy but just walk a little fast in de evening if you're alone. 7-8 min from metro station and in the sun everywhere is (almost) nice..

Gebruikers van Hostelworld beoordeelden St Christopher's Paris als het populairste hostel in Parijs tijdens de Hoscars 2011, en het is niet moeilijk te begrijpen waarom. We vinden het leuk dat elk van hun bedden een kluisje onder het bed, privacygordijnen, een leeslampje en twee stopcontacten heeft. Dit hostel heeft een bar en een club, met kortingen op drankjes en wat bezoekers ons verzekeren is 'goedkoop, lekker eten'. Onze gasten zeggen dat dit hostel 'beneden een goede sfeer heeft en altijd veel mensen in de buurt' heeft, 'perfect voor mensen die wat plezier willen hebben'.
