Hostel Coeur de Cite in Carcassonne heeft een fantastische locatie in de middeleeuwse stad. Gasten prijzen regelmatig het vriendelijke en behulpzame personeel. Hoewel de meesten het hostel schoon en comfortabel vinden, vermelden enkele recente recensies problemen met de watertemperatuur in de douches en een gebrek aan ventilatie of ventilatoren bij warm weer, waardoor kamers oncomfortabel warm worden. There were no lockers to store luggage before and after checkout, and you could not lock your belongings inside the dorm room. The beds are not the best and the showers would only stay on for about 5 seconds, which was extremely irritating. It’s a good hostel for 1 night, but nothing more.

This hostel is one of the worst I've been to, it is so obvious that they wanted to spend as little money as possible when building this place. None of the communal toilets even have seats, the doors don't lock automatically, you have to give it an extra push or the door won't be locked. The doors are so loud that you can loudly hear every door on the whole floor getting slammed shut (by their own weight). The cleaning was very average and the sheets had some yellow spots. Would not recommend.
