Boca Estrella

Great chill hostel but still good to socialise, there were many hammocks which is always nice. Dorms were fine and there were fans and a plug in next to the bed. Kitchen was very well equipped and there is a water refill for 1$ a day. The owner Emanuel is very nice and also knows how to make good pizzas. WiFi was sometimes not the greatest. On my last night, I left my bag on the table at night and someone took out my money and unfortunately this happened in a place where there were no cameras

Our stay at the Boca Estrella was ok but we couldn't really get comfortable there. Our private room was (other than a little gap at the door) good. The showers and toilets felt a little bit gross. In the kitchen we also felt like cutlery and surfaces weren't really clean. Due to construction work around the hostel and a very loud environment during rainy periods, it was a little bit uncomfortable.

Overall, we had a good stay! The hostel is in a great location, and we really enjoyed the common areas. The kitchen was great and well equipped, the hammocks were a nice place to relax, and having bikes available to rent was super convenient. The bathrooms were also kept very clean. The staff were incredibly nice, welcoming, and accommodating, which we really appreciated. The room had a pretty strong urine smell, which was unpleasant and definitely affected the comfort.
