We’re two Rotterdam girls with backpacks full of memories, endless curiosity, and a stubborn belief that the best part of traveling is the people you meet. After exploring the world together, we decided to open Ani & Haakien a cozy, artsy hostel where coming down on your socks and meeting new friends comes first.

Join our weekly events in the livingroom, cook together in the kitchen, slow down in our sunny garden and maybe even find yourself extending cause you need to finish your conversations about life. This is the perfect place for solo backpackers that are looking for genuine connections.

Our home is just steps from cafés, museums, bars, music venues, and Central Station. Don't hesistate to ask our staff they know the good spots in Rotterdam or join our Saturday morning city tour and let our guide show you the way.

* We are queer friendly and we can't deny that we have a strict door policy because safety and atmosphere is important to our guests and ourselves.
