This is probably the worst hostel to spend the night in Rotterdam. DON’T STAY HERE. As a young traveller you feel unsafe, the environment is terrible and the rooms are filled with people who are 50+ which are most likely living there permanently. The whole vibe seems sketchy and everyone looks at you as if you are bothering them. We heard some people being robbed as well because there are no lockers in the rooms and it’s easy for the permanent residents to take your stuff when you are not in the room. The room assigned to us smelled very bad and there were dirty plates on the floor. Moreover, the people in the rooms were having dinner there which didn’t help with the smell.

The friendly and helpful staff and the location are the plus points. Our beds and room were however very dusty. The electric sockets for our beds didn‘t work and we had to use the one from another bed. The heating right above my bed makes the air dryer and unneccessarily warmer at night. The sink in our bathroom also took some time to drain all the water.

Generally ok if you're on a budget. I stayed for two nights whilst visiting Rotterdam for the weekend. Check-in was easy - I arrived quite late at 11pm due to a late Eurostar and it was easy to check-in at that time. I wouldn't choose this hostel if you want 'a cool atmosphere', but it was fine as a place to sleep - I rarely spent any time in there. The bathroom, however, hadn't been cleaned properly and some of the towels were marked.
