La Playita Hostal was build in the early 80’s; three family generations have enjoyed the fruits from this land, a beautiful garden where the wind runs through the palm tree leaves playing games of light and shadows. We open the doors of our home offering a comfortable, simple and clean lodging so you can rest and enjoy this land the way our family has done for so many years.

a relaxing good place to stay. A little out of the way but bus stops within yards to take you into San Jose. Marina only 200m away, sea 500m. Nice walk around marina. Watched humpback whales breeching. Saturday eco market worthwhile.

We were so so well looked after in this hostel. It's family run and we felt so welcomed and part of the family by the time we left. 4 super nights, away from the madness of the town, but close enough to get a really cheap uber in when we didn't feel like walking. Definitely recommend :)
