I had to pay double on arrival as the hostel said there was a problem with Hostel World. After paying double I was also asked to pay for breakfast which is confusing as a free breakfast is the first thing advertised on HostelWorld. Due to this I decided to leave early as it really put a damper on my time in El Paredon. Wouldn’t recommend.

Booked for new years a month in advance to be told everywhere else had sold out that the price had now doubled, and tried to charge for the free breakfast that was advertised on hostelworld. Additionally, the rooms had no storage whatsoever resulting in bags being piled high in the room. The rooms upstairs also had no internet access and my bunkbed didn’t have a ladder meaning I had to awkwardly climb via someone else’s bed. The toilets and showers were awkwardly placed by the bar area.

The hostel changed the price at the last minute, after my booking had been confirmed and there was nowhere else available within my budget so I had to pay out of pocket for the extra expense. Super unprofessional and would definitely be illegal in most countries.
