We are a fun and passionate family who restored this patrimonial house within eco-friendly standards, by making furniture and crafts.

Our hostel is located in the heart of Cerro Alegre, which is the safest and most entertaining tourist spot in Valparaíso.

Valparadise Hostel is an accommodation set in Valparaíso, 2.1 km from San Mateo Beach and 10 km from Viña del Mar Bus Terminal. It is located 1.3 km from Caleta Portales Beach.

All units are fitted with a coffee machine, a shared bathroom and free WiFi, while selected rooms have a balcony and some have city views. The units include bed linen.

Our patrimonial house has been especially tailored for families and backpackers.

New favorite hostel! my friend and I booked last minute and couldn’t imagine the amazing time that was to come- from the beautiful location, perfect views, affordability, breathtaking craftsmanship and art, to the time we shared in the warm company of the owners- Ruben, his wife, and their adorable daughter. It was so impressionable when it came time to check out, we made it all but 2 hours before rebooking- the second night just as dreamy. Thank you for the lovely hospitality from both of us.

Perfect location. The owners are very friendly, open-minded and progressive. I had plenty of space to store my things including a big locker. Breakfast, using the kitchen to cook and laundry are all available for an extra fee. There is a jazz bar next door and the sound travels so bring earplugs. The hostel is small and has a cozy family feel, perfect for me, but not the best for making friends. The worst thing is there is no hot water or heating which is brutal in Valpo winter, I struggled.

Valparadise Hostel is a great choice to base yourself while visiting Valparaiso. Valparaiso is a city of hills and this hostel is in one of the best hills, “Cerro Alegre”. There are great restaurants and interesting streets to wander from the front door. But the best part of this place is the owners, Ruben and Barbara. The two run the hostel with warmth and heart and it shows. I recommend Valparadise Hostel in Valparaiso!
