The hostel is pretty nice and welcoming. The bedrooms & bathrooms are clean and nice. As well there is a good kitchen and backyard. & I want to say Alejandra × Jaqueline is an unstoppable team. 🙌🏼 The only thing which I didn’t like is, you have to pay by cash. 🥲

Hostel El Arbol is a lovely place to stay in La Serena. It felt like staying in a cosy home rather than a hostel. It’s quite small in size which makes it easy to meet other travellers, particularly over a free breakfast. The staff/owners are always so helpful and welcoming. The place is very clean. I think the only downside is that the kitchen was very cramped - but tbh with so few guests you’re not waiting long. That and a hostel cat and it would be perfect! Muchas gracias!

Really nice hostel with very friendly staff and a pretty decent hostel breakfast. Rooms were really comfortable (they also smelled great… for sure the best smelling hostel room and bathroom I’ve been in!) Overall very pleasantly surprised with La Serena and the hostel.
