Ticuchi occupies part of the historic house where Oaxacan composer Macedonio Alcalá, author of Dios Nunca Muere, died in 1869.
Ticuchi is a historic Oaxacan casona — not a newly built or modern hotel.
Expect the character, layout and architectural details of an old house rather than sleek contemporary finishes. We continually maintain and improve the property while preserving the personality and history that make it different from a modern hostel building.
