O que é o Surfing Wombats?
Surfing Wombats é um novo hostel localizado na costa sul do Sri Lanka - Midigama. Estamos convenientemente localizados a 2 minutos da praia, mas fora da rua principal - para que você ainda possa desfrutar pacificamente do seu sono de beleza.
As melhores ondas de surf estão a poucos minutos de distância - basta caminhar ou passear com uma scooter, tuk tuk ou uma bicicleta. Se já é como o Kelly Slater, damos-lhe dicas de onde ir e o que fazer. Se quiser tornar-se uma nova estrela no mundo do surf, nós organizamos as aulas de surf e em breve estará a surfar estas ondas como os cingaleses comem arroz e caril.
Quem é que gostaríamos de ver no nosso hostel?
Não nos interessa se tens 60 ou 10 anos, mas vem de coração aberto e com vontade de aventura.

Stayed in the tent which was actually fine however have to use the restaurants toilet which can be hundreds of people so really gross. Would have extended if it wasn’t for the bathroom situation. Restaurant is very nice, good coffee , staff members etc Did struggle to meet some people but may be because I was in the tent.

Best experience in Sri Lanka! I stayed in the hostel for more than 2 weeks. The staff was amazing welcoming, funny and helpful and I could easily meet new people there. The accommodations are very cheap and most of the time I slept in the tend which was also ab very special experience in Sri Lanka. There are fans and at nights it’s cooling down very easily anyway. The pizza at the restaurant is crazy delicious and the best you can get in Sri Lanka.

Such a relaxing and welcoming vibe, a proper surf hostel without the surf lessons. The pizza and pasta are delicious. Several fun activities organised weekly, including a highly competitive table tennis tournament weekly. Midigama is the perfect chilled surf spot between Weligama and Ahangama. The dorms are hot though - no AC but plenty of fans. Only thing stopping it being a 10 was the drain smell near the dorms/tents.
