Layday Surf Ahangama

Well located, very clean, good air conditioning and a great host! Layday Surf is just one dorm room with 4 bunk beds so it is very quiet which was amazing. A little bit difficult to find but the host was very responsive and promises a sign will be put up ASAP. To get there follow google maps- there is a large black gate that you need to open, once through the gate you will see a wooden platform with a door through to the layday surf area to the right of the house. Seriously the best hostel I’ve stayed in throughout my 7 months travelling. I’m so sad I wasn’t there for long because it was just so so nice. Super clean, nice style, the showers are great, it’s cosy, there’s a nice inside place to sit & hang out. The lovely family who own this make such an effort to be present and helpful. HIGHLY recommend!

LayDay is so wonderful! Newly built and so well designed, Rukshan has thought of everything. As a solo female traveller I felt totally safe - it’s a peaceful little sanctuary in Ahangama, just a 2-min walk to Kabalana Beach and great food spots. Super comfy beds, loads of luggage space, amazing showers, and absolutely spotless. Rukshan and his family are so kind and he keeps it immaculate daily. I extended my stay way longer than expected and didn’t want to leave - will 100% be back!
