Ant Hostel Barcelona was born in 2015 out of the need of several families to create secure jobs for family and friends. Ant Hostel is not just another hostel, Ant Hostel is a family hostel. Our guests are treated as a member of the family, and we like to make them feel at home. We like to help our guests with everything they need. Here, more than a hostel, we are a home for everyone who chooses to visit us. Over the years we have managed to get people from all over the world to come back to stay with us because of the friendly staff, our services, location and comfort when it comes to their rest.

Many curious guests ask us why we are called 'ANT'. The reason for our name being ANT is because of the poem 'Les Formigues' (The Ants) by Joan Salvat Papasset, who was an ancestor of our founding partner and a Catalan poet of the 19th century. This poem was written in 1921 and uses a traditional Japanese 'haiku' style of poetry. It consists of compositions of three short lines. Seen from a distance, the verses look like a row of ants. Because of this connection with the poet, the whole family wanted to pay tribute to him in a humble and close way.

Our spacious rooms have been designed to ensure a maximum intimacy and quality experience the maximum of intimacy.All rooms are equipped with two bunk beds and a bathroom with shower. In Ant Property there are no large dormitories. Taking into consideration your comfort, all our rooms are meant for a maximum of three to four people. Our rooms are air-conditioned and have free of charge WiFi access. The bunk beds, which have been designed to fit into our premises, are equipped with reading lamps, and socket and USB chargers. When making a reservation, you can choose between a female-only or a mixed room. You can also book a whole room for up to 4 people.
