Itaca Hostel is very centrally located near Plaza Catalunya, Passeig de Gracia, and Barcelona Cathedral in one direction and Barri Gotic, La Rambla, the Aquarium, and the beach in the other. Welcome to Itaca Hostel!!!, Situated on a quiet street just off Cathedral Square, right in the historic all city (Gothic quater) it is in the perfect location to be your oasis in the centre of this vibrant city. Stay with us while you are in Barcelona and be dancing distance from the best this city has to offer, including live music, art galleries, nightclubs, traditional restaurants and the beach!
Our goal is for you to have a complete experience in Barcelona so we organize various activities to enjoy as a group; a flamenco night, how to prepare good sangria, testing your palate to win in a wine tasting, to see the best views of Barcelona at sunset and enjoy dinner with new friends.
If you want to find out a little more about Barcelona and its history, we have a free walking tours everyday. Its a great opportunity to meet new people and find those hidden gems in the backstreets of our lovely city.
Our staff will always be happy to swap stories, give recommendations and enjoy together all the day and night activities we organize everyday so you can always make friends.

Woke up to 10-20 new bites every morning on parts of my body that were touching the mattress, and the atmosphere was pretty average for me. It was mostly people travelling in groups so not looking to socialise with others, although this could definitely be different another time! The staff were great and couldn’t fault the security or facilities.
Now I just need to get some cream for the bites!

Being a small hostel, people here get to know each other and enjoy their stay more. If they want extra activities we can work with people who organise events. As we're a small hostel we offer the personal touch, with friendly, helpful staff. We care about our guests and try to make sure they enjoy their stay here. I'd say we're ideally suited for anyone who wants a relaxing stay in a small, independent hostel. We're not a party hostel and generally don't book large groups.
The nearest main attractions to us are the cathedral (100m away) and La Rambla, which is only five minutes away. I recommend people explore the Gothic Quarter and visit the Palau de la Música, just two minutes' walk away from here.
