Our hostel is right next to Trastevere old town, consistently rated one of the trendiest neighborhoods in Rome and just across the river from Rome’s most iconic sights.

The 24hour reception was great as we arrived late in the evening. The room and the facilities were sufficient, however our aircon unit was leaking water onto the floor, and I would like a bit more privacy with the showers as it was a shared bathroom.

On the hostel world website the property was losted as 15 euros per night and when booked they didn't inform me of the incorrect price. Once I had a long journey and reached the hostel late at night they charged me 20 euros overall saying the price was listed incorrectly and if I wanted they could cancel and refund it. Imagine where would I go after a long journey at 8 pm in the evening the staff was quite rude and honestly it was scam. No prior notification was generated.

Bathroom was disgusting, smelled of urine the whole stay. Room had no privacy or storage space. “Kitchen” was very unclean, no space to store food, no fridge, bins were constantly overflowing. Aircon was leaking water onto my bed. Although, there was a supermarket and tram nearby, and staff were friendly.
