Niras Bankoc Cultural Hostel is centrally located close to the Grand Palace and Wat Pho and is surrounded by several temples and restaurants. This charming, atmospheric, laid-back hostel is just ten minutes’ walk from the lively Khao San Road, leading several of our guests to comment that regardless of ‘if you want a quiet place [or] if you want to meet other travellers and go out, this is the place’. Great hostel super clean bathrooms and dorm rooms. The 6 man dorm also had a lot of room not cramped. Friendly staff and a convenient cafe downstairs serving good food.

We really enjoyed our stay, my partner and I went for a private room which is in a different building across the road. The room was spacious, tasteful and incredibly clean. Downstairs there was a big common room for meeting people, and the hostel has a cafe common room on its main site which sold great ice cream. We felt safe here, the building has CCTV. The staff at the hostel were incredibly helpful and kind, we arrived early and nothing was too much trouble. Wish we stayed longer.

Niras Bankoc Cultural Hostel says
We have a really distinct style in the hostel that is shown in our building which is over 100 years old. It\'s been well preserved since 1869 and while the charm from the past has been maintained, renovations mean that it has fully modern facilities.
We also have the best gourmet coffee shop in Bangkok! Come and try our winning Thai roasted coffee or our special recipe of Thai milk tea. It\'s delicious.
Many of our guests are travelers seeking to see culture and the local surroundings. From our hostel, you can easily get to all the main sites in Bangkok. There are beautiful temples and museums in our neighbourhood such as the Grand Palace, the Golden Mount, Wat Po, Wat Suthat, and much more! We are just a 15 minute walk from Khaosan Road. I like to think that we\'re in the middle of a \'cultural theme park\' where guests can simply walk to all the sites and enjoy them as if they were in a theme park. Aside from the sites, we\'re surrounded by unique shops, markets, and restaurants with their own recipes. I really recommend \'Thipsamai\' for Pad Thai! We also advise guests to use the canal boats as public transport, as it's cheap fast and fun.
