Overall a great stay at Niras Bankoc. I stayed in both the dorms and privates and I was satisfied with both. The hostel has a cool set up that go across two building with dorms being in one and private rooms being in the other. The staff are very kind and helpful and the location is fairly solid as well. I will be staying with them again on my second visit to Bangkok on my trip. The only feedback I would share is that checking in can be a little hard if you are arriving before 10:30am because of when the of

Lovely place to stay with great cafe and very helpful staff who kindly supported us getting a taxi and were very friendly. Private rooms are across the road but a nice common room here & our first hot shower in Thailand!

Good hostel in a quiet area, close to the temples. Staff is adorable. Facilities are ok. Not a social hostel / not ideal for solo travellers who want to socialize.

Niras Bankoc Cultural Hostel says

We have a really distinct style in the hostel that is shown in our building which is over 100 years old. It\'s been well preserved since 1869 and while the charm from the past has been maintained, renovations mean that it has fully modern facilities. We also have the best gourmet coffee shop in Bangkok! Come and try our winning Thai roasted coffee or our special recipe of Thai milk tea. It\'s delicious. Many of our guests are travelers seeking to see culture and the local surroundings. From our hostel, you can easily get to all the main sites in Bangkok. There are beautiful temples and museums in our neighbourhood such as the Grand Palace, the Golden Mount, Wat Po, Wat Suthat, and much more! We are just a 15 minute walk from Khaosan Road. I like to think that we\'re in the middle of a \'cultural theme park\' where guests can simply walk to all the sites and enjoy them as if they were in a theme park. Aside from the sites, we\'re surrounded by unique shops, markets, and restaurants with their own recipes. I really recommend \'Thipsamai\' for Pad Thai! We also advise guests to use the canal boats as public transport, as it's cheap fast and fun.
