Located in a beautiful, residential neighborhood, the International Student Center (ISC), is a landmark brownstone, located in Manhattan on the Upper West Side. As a small and centrally located hostel, you'll find charm, comfort, and convenience here. We are a ½ block to Central Park, restaurants, cafes, shops, and the subway. Museums, iconic sites, food markets, and other amenities nearby. Depending on your preference and budget, we offer several room types: mixed dorm style rooms, small private rooms, and a family/friends private suite.
Our newly refreshed common areas include: the Reception Room, Arts for PEACE Gallery, Lounge, Dining Area, Community Kitchen, and Garden.
We welcome students, lifelong learners, and world travelers, from near and far. One of the absolute best parts about staying in a place like ours, is getting to make new friends from corners of the world. Whether traveling solo or with a group, you are welcome here.

It’s close to a subway station and central park, which is definitely nice. The staff was also amazing, showing around. I would prefer some curtains on the beds and there was just a locker for valuables (key you will get ðŸ‘ðŸ») but I put my luggage just in the middle of the floor, no other storage

The position is absolutely perfect for enjoying Manhattan in each point do you prefer. The staff was very kind and helpful, and the structure was enough clean. The only “problem†it was that each bedroom doesn’t have a personal key to open and close. It will give it to you just the key for entering in the hostel and an other key for a small security locker (very appreciate) inside the room.
It was a pleasure stay here, near Central Park and I think I will use this hostel again if I come back in New York!
