Casinha Tropical Tijuca

Casinha Tropical is a cozy and peaceful hostel near the two main airports of Rio de Janeiro in a residential neighborhood, 5 minutes walking from the metro Station and 30 minutes from the main beaches.

We are near to the downtown and mainly tourist places like the Christ Redeem.

Our hostel is pet friendly, gay friendly, and has a vegetarian kitchen, which means you can use it freely but not cook meats. Our purpose is to provide a good and peaceful experience during your time in this wonderful city.

Casinha Tropical Tijuca Policy and Conditions:

Check-in is available from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and check-out must be completed by 12:00 PM. If the room is available and you wish to check in earlier, a half-day rate will be charged, or you may wait in the common areas until the check-in time.

If you wish to check out later than 12:00 PM, you can check availability and pay for an additional full night or vacate the room and use only the common areas by purchasing our Day Use service.

We also offer a luggage storage service for R$10, in case you only need to leave your bags in our storage area. This logistics system ensures that rooms remain available as scheduled for guests who have planned their reservations accordingly.

The reception operates until 2:00 AM and reopens at 6:00 AM.
During the night, from 2:00 AM to 6:00 AM, the entrance gate remains closed. If you plan to enter or leave during this period, please inform reception in advance.

Hostel Rules
Our hostel is a smoke-free environment, meaning smoking is prohibited in all areas.
Visitors are not allowed—only registered guests or those who have purchased Day Use.

We offer additional services, including bath towel rental, iron, hairdryer, snacks, and beverages.
Bed linens are provided free of charge during your stay.
Duvets and bath towels are rented separately for R$10 each, which can be used throughout your stay.

Prohibited Actions
Smoking inside the hostel premises (rooms, bathrooms, lounges, etc.), in accordance with Federal Law No. 12.546, regulated in June 2014.
Using sound equipment in common areas. Please respect other guests by keeping noise levels low, especially between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
Hanging clothes or towels on room windows, throwing objects out of windows, in hallways, sidewalks, or sanitary installations.
Littering, including cigarette butts. Please be respectful and keep the common areas clean.
Taking hostel towels outside for activities.
Using bed linens or bath towels for cleaning shoes, hair dye, makeup, or any other purpose that may damage the fabric. Any damaged items due to improper use will be charged at full replacement cost, including stains from food, beverages, or cosmetics.
Possessing or using items that may pose a risk to oneself or others.

Responsibilities
•⁠ ⁠The guest must pay 50% of the total stay at least 14 days before check-in as a guarantee for their reservation. Failure to make the payment may result in cancellation.
•⁠ ⁠In case of lost keys or any physical damage to hostel property, a replacement or repair fee will be charged.
•⁠ ⁠The guest is solely responsible for their choice of services and whether they meet their needs. The hostel is not responsible in this regard.
•⁠ ⁠Any illegal, ineffective, incomplete, or fraudulent reservation or payment due to guest-related issues will result in the cancellation of the reservation at the guest’s expense, without prejudice to legal action if necessary.
•⁠ ⁠The photos on the website are for illustrative purposes only, and accommodations or services may vary due to furniture changes or renovations.

Cleaning Policy
•⁠ ⁠Room cleaning is available daily from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM upon guest request.
•⁠ ⁠For environmental reasons, bed linens are changed every 3 days during your stay.
•⁠ ⁠In case of stains (wine, hair dye, makeup, etc.), a laundry fee will be charged. If the damage is irreversible, the full replacement cost of the item will be charged.

Cancellation Policy
•⁠ ⁠A full refund will be provided for cancellations made at least 14 days before the check-in date.
•⁠ ⁠A 50% penalty will be charged for cancellations made between 14 and 5 days before check-in.
•⁠ ⁠A 100% penalty will be charged for cancellations made 5 days or less before check-in.
•⁠ ⁠If a guest cancels or leaves after check-in, no refunds will be given.
•⁠ ⁠In case of no-show, 100% of the total reservation amount will be charged.
•⁠ ⁠These cancellation policies also apply to group reservations.
