Happy Porto Hostel

Had an amazing stay at this hostel. Beautiful view from the room, clean spaces, breakfast was was decent for a hostel and the location is great if you want something a bit more relaxing!

The location was by the water but far/on the bottom of a huge hill from restaurants, cafes, things to see. The room was small for 10 people and the atmosphere was weird and not social. A lot of couples snuggling in bed together and lounge area was just the kitchen/lobby. Staff was not very friendly and barely looked at you (except the new girl). Also never saw anyone clean the room/bathroom and it didn’t smell good. For the price it was ok but wouldn’t recommend

I had a quiet but pleasant stay here. I was the only person in the hostel for all 3 nights! So in terms of social vibe, there was none (although the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about the city, thank you Pedro!). I thought the location was nice - it’s between the beach/parks/museums to the west and city center to the east (about a 20 min walk). Very clean hostel, worth it for the price. But you’ll have to venture a bit to find social connection.
