Happy Porto Hostel

I had a quiet but pleasant stay here. I was the only person in the hostel for all 3 nights! So in terms of social vibe, there was none (although the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about the city, thank you Pedro!). I thought the location was nice - it’s between the beach/parks/museums to the west and city center to the east (about a 20 min walk). Very clean hostel, worth it for the price. But you’ll have to venture a bit to find social connection.

The hostel is nice with lots of good facilities. However the manager is weird and a little rude to his employees. I feel like this hostel could be so much more social but it felt just a little awkward. There should be more activities. The rooms were nice and the showers were clean.

Overall the Happy Porto Hostel is a great place to stay in Porto! The location is excellent with only a 10-15 minute walk to the waterfront. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean and cleaned daily. Not the biggest common area but there’s a wide variety of books and puzzles to solve. Staff was very friendly and helpful in giving directions and things to do and see around the city. If you decide to book here you’ll be very happy (no pun intended) with your decision.
