Located in a decent area close to the train station this large hostel offers good facilities in a large guest kitchen, chill room, basic gym and good bar. The staff are nice and helpful however the "volunteers" do absolutely nothing. None of the scheduled events took place. The free meals, the waking tour, the drinking games - none of these advertised events took place. The description also mentions a pub crawl, which they told me they never do. I would recommend skipping Genoa overall

Great place! Glad to hear that it’s a chain we will visit more. There were plenty of activities and free pasta and veggies! Nice staff and nice location. Only downside was the bathroom, the shower looked gross/moldy.

The location is steps to the train station. My roommate was rude (no fault of the hostels) & I was moved & accommodated. The kitchen had a ton of free food but needs to be cleaned more often. Ants & it was a mess. The neighborhood is unsafe. Drug addicts all over. Scary & dark alleys. If you’re using this as a quick stopover to head to the riviera then great. The hostel rooms were roomy & great overall. We had the apartment style & it was big with balcony.
