Hi, I’m Maliya, and I’d love to welcome you into my home! When you stay with us at Anotherworld Hostel, you’re not just booking a bed — you’re joining our family. 🏡

Together with my amazing friends Thushara, Rusiru, Supun, Aloka, and Bhagya, we’ll make sure your time in Sri Lanka is full of laughter, adventure, and unforgettable memories. Whether you’re chasing the sunrise, exploring hidden lakes, heading off on a wild jeep safari, or joining our secret sunset tour, we’re right there with you — sharing stories, local food, and real Sri Lankan life.

Our little house isn’t fancy — and that’s the beauty of it. It’s simple, cozy, and full of soul. We can host up to 30 guests in shared dorms and we also have two private rooms if you’re looking for a bit more quiet. If you’re after luxury, this isn’t your place. But if you want real connection, good vibes, and an unforgettable experience — you’re in the right spot.

Every day we organize family-style activities like cooking together, beach days, village walks, bonfires, and music nights. No matter if you arrive alone or with friends, you’ll leave as part of the Anotherworld family.

Maliya (that’s me!) is always around to help you plan your travels, discover hidden gems, and make the most of your time in this beautiful country.

7:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Need something outside these hours? No stress — just find Maliya or someone from the crew.

🍳 Food & Kitchen Times
Breakfast: 7:30 AM – 10:30 AM
(Ask us about the pancakes, you won’t regret it 👀)
Lunch & Dinner: Available all day ‘til 9:00 PM
Feeling hungry late? Ask us — we got you if we can.

🍻 Bar Times
12:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Cold beers, cocktails, jungle vibes, and good convos.
(Please no outside alcohol, let’s support the fam bar ✌️)

🎒 Daily Activities
Every day we run awesome experiences with our crew:

Sunrise Hike: 4:30 AM

Lake Tour & Swim: 4:30 PM

Jeep Safari: 1:30 PM or 8:00 PM

Secret Sunset Walk: 5:30 PM

Cooking Class: 7:00 PM
Sign up early at reception so we can make it happen!

Dorms & rooms are shared spaces — let’s keep it clean & chill for each other

Quiet hours: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Party outside, rest inside 🌙

Respect beds that aren’t yours (unless you're a cat 🐈)

🧼 Bathrooms & Showers
Shared, clean, and jungle-style — please leave them fresh for the next homie

No smoking inside bathrooms please 🙏
