遇见子云涧客栈 (国家森林公园）

This is one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at! Carol helped me organize my whole trip around the mountains from the national forest to the Grand Canyon, and helped me get tickets for both. She also waited for me to get there after my train was delayed and I got in around midnight. The staff are really nice and the menu in the kitchen is simple but some of the best food I’ve ever eaten.

The host (Carol) is unbelievably kind and considerate! She helped me plan my entire trek, picked and dropped me off where the tourist bus stops (at Zhonghu) and couldn’t help enough! Her father even prepared a meal for me in the attached restaurant! Unbelievable value for money when you’re literally a 3 minute walk to the parks ticket office. Hope I can return some day! :D

Pretty flawless. A simple rural retreat in contrast to the other touristy villages in the area. The rooms are brand new, spotlessly clean and spacious. Two terraces - one for eating downstairs with views of the mountains and locals, one upstairs with a hanging chair for chilling. Delicious homemade breakfast for 15RMB that will fill your boots (so to speak) for a day of hiking. Lots of helpful advise for treks. This undoubtedly deserves the full 10, suitable for an extraordinary national park.
