张家界同福客栈 (国家森林公园内)

Carol makes this place amazing, she helped me plan all of my itineraries for the national park and Grand Canyon so it was done as efficiently as possible, and helped me organise transport and tickets without me even asking for it. She really goes above and beyond and it’s worth staying here for that alone.

I really enjoyed staying at Tongfu Inn. The staff was very friendly and they had a kitchen which provided great breakfast, lunch and dinner. The location was a bit frustrating, though, as they changed locations and are no longer inside of the park. It’s difficult to get there unless someone drives you and you have to get a car/bus up to the cable car every day. They also haven’t updated their location, so I went to the previous location at first. Luckily, Carol picked me up and drove me.

This hostel is really great, especially the staff! I got sick and they drove me to the doctor and translated for me and were very helpful. They also helped with many other things (from planning our route to booking taxis for us). Would definitely recommend, especially for foreigners who might need extra support.
