Good location close to the beautiful beach. Clean and tidy kitchen. Mostly working holiday and long term stays, making the atmosphere cliquey and uncomfortable like you were unwelcome in someone else’s home. They were also noisy past the 10pm curfew which went unchecked. Staff left room windows open and doors unlocked after cleaning, although Paihia itself felt safe.

Very lovely hostel. Nice big kitchen and friendly vibe. Very close to the beach and a yoga studio / sport centre across the road. Only downside is 3 toilets and showers for the whole hostel which sometimes meant queuing. Otherwise was a good stay.

Had a great week there. Rooms were clean and had lockers! Common room area was great. WiFi is really bad! Location great from Intercity stop and to discover the surroundings.
