I’ve stayed at several Masaya hostels and this one was my least favorite by far. Staff was kind, location is good, food and drinks just okay, but other than that it’s dirty and the vibe is off. All sheet and towels I received had significant stains, the toilettes never flush fully, there is significant mold, and no sense of community among the guests for lack of communal activities. The only events while I was there were very loud DJ sets that caused most people to move away from the pool area.
