The long-short?
I'd give this hostel 0 marks if possible.
Here comes the Why -
i came to Friday Hostel thinking other people's positive reviews will prove, at least roughly, correct.
As a nomad, I travel a fair bit and tend to refrain from leaving negative reviews.
However here comes an exception because I think the 10 mark for Friday Hostel in this site - comes misleading.
The hostel supposed to be non-smoking. However, vaping goes on in-doors. Should people not have a clue about it before coming?
The Friday Hostel got good marks for a good internet. However, for me, the connection kept falling. (this is not my device since other wifis do not tend to drop.) This can come serious if you do work..
The hostel supposed to be clean - with only one toilet having toilet paper, and empty soap dispensers?
The rooms do feel relatively clean and safe with spacious lockers. However, the dormitory room itself can not get locked - something that might feel an issue with some people.
Common areas can feel tight at times and definitely could do with friendly and safe atmosphere.
Perhaps a personal thing, but I do not feel someone who seemingly works at the hostel should watch films outloud in the common area in the morning.
How would you feel about guests, each trying to listen, without headphones to music and tiktok clips in common areas. Each person with their own music and clip..
Safety -
How safe would you feel in a place where, someone who seemingly works there, goes around mouthing racist remarks to himself?
