Hostel was alright, great location right on top of a tube line so great as a stop off for exploring Osaka and right in the retro gaming district. The trade off for this was there was a lot of noise at night. Not much atmosphere/social in the hostel as most people keep to themselves (which I think is quite common in Japan), basic dorm is a mixed bag depending on which bed you end up with, we were along the corridor so had lots of people walking past and some noise from the plumbing kept us awake

good location, superior beds are great as you get a lot of space. big dorms mean there's inevitably noise in the night/early morning. also not much atmosphere as communal space is quite small. lift to get to the hostel is often busy so you can be waiting a while.
