Overall I think this was a pretty good hostel, did lose some points because when I went to put my quilt on it had 5 drops of someone else’s blood. Not sure how long they’d been there but definitely put me off a bit. I understand this is probably not a regular occurrence and the rest of the facilities and the staff were great so take from this what you will.

essential part of trip to Okinawa. use as base, get a car and visit north. great for public transport connection right near bus station but super quiet, clean and positive area of town lockers for valuables, solid bunks that feel like own rooms. super friendly and chill staff who keep the place safe and friendly

Generally dirty and the dorm rooms smell really bad. There’s no ventilation in the room. There are signs saying “Don’t steal guests stuff” and “if your stuff is stolen sort it out yourself” - which to me feels like an invitation for opportunists if there will be no help from the hostel. You are also unable to leave luggage in the rooms and have to store it in the corridor which blocks the fire escape (as well as making it easier for people to nick your stuff!) As the dorms are all wooden I’m su
